Paper, Journal, and Review | The Secret Sect (Social Media Version)

*Social Media Version*

In the process of performing research into a topic related to this post, I found a thread that took me deeper and deeper toward a possible answer to a burning question that has both plagued and burdened me for over a year. Why has the Catholic Church absconded justice for global crimes for generations?

Module 9 | Prompt

  1. With all of the current evidence against the Roman Catholic Church, why has there been no punishment from world leaders against the Church's crimes? Crimes which include tens of thousands of children raped and sexually molested by pedophile priests, and evidence of millions, if not billions, of dollars in financial misconduct and fraud.

Today, it clicked...

In plain sight, on Wikipedia no less, I found a generally innocent contribution - that is, if you do not observe the surrounding history with the present.

It's as close as you can get to evidence of a long held conspiracy of the existence of an elite sect called the 'Illuminati.' However, I loath conspiracies. Still, and none-the-less, this is one of those moments it would be reasonable to shout "holy ****!"

'The Order of The Golden Fleece' is a fit. Not purely by circumstance, but by design and with the intentions of the Church - for generations.

"Established by the Burgundian duke Philip the Good in 1430, for the purpose of defending the Roman Catholic religion, to uphold the usages of chivalry, and to increase the prestige of the dukes of Burgundy. The Order was ideally supposed to settle all disputes between its knights, whose actions were to be appraised, commended, or censured at its chapters [presumably by the Church]; the knights had the right to trial by their fellows on charges of rebellion, treason, or heresy" (Wikipedia).

"As Christianity’s rise to power was a ‘top-down’ process rather than one inspired by popular pressure, the authority and executive power of the Church was dependent on its relationship with the Roman ruling elite ... This tradition continued even until Pope Pius XII negotiated the Reichskonkordat treaty with Nazi Germany, which made the Church the first legal partners of Adolf Hitler’s regime ... [and] on closer inspection, it becomes clear [that the Church formed allegiances when] the infighting between European powers ... threatened to leave the Church’s status as the foremost religion in the continent as vulnerable. [...]

It is true that the hierarchy of the early Church reflected, or ‘mimicked’, the organisation [sic] of the [early] Empire(s), with the ecclesiastical structure being headed by Constantine, who appointed the bishops. The Church also adopted the same organisational [sic] boundaries as the Empire: geographical provinces, called dioceses, corresponding to imperial governmental territorial division. In the words of Charles Norris Cochrane: ‘Ecclesiastical councils functioned as parliaments embodying the philosophic […] wisdom of the Empire.’ However, the structure of today’s more democratic and more complicated Church is very different to the one it was ... years ago; most notably in its current separation from the state in most European countries" (Gay, 2019).

Editorial Comments

Indeed, there have been a few 'conspiracy theorists' style presentations on the Order of The Golden Fleece, with similar - or even expanded observations. I will not judge them, as each would require an additional review of the evidence presented.

Presently, it appears that Wikipedia sources accurately indicate many of the royal dynasties are active members of the Order of the Golden Fleece. Moreover, all have quietly continued their history or role as a Knight of the Order. Offering loyalty and protection of the Roman Catholic Church - despite revelations of institutional crimes.

Further, on the surface and down deep, details indicate the  this is a relationship that has a dubious history.

Where power resides, so too does influence. And the history of the Roman Catholic Church does indeed align with practices that shield its activity in times of question. As such, it would not be a stretch to speculate that the reserves and aims of the Roman Catholic Church very much have something to do with the taxonomies of our social and economic global system today; with what appears to be a relatively refreshed effort to court the global elite.

Yes, the global system is rigged, and the Roman Catholic Church wouldn't have it any other way.
